Privacy Policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what information darylowen.com collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Who runs this site
darylowen.com is operated by Daryl Owen, based in California. For anything about your information, email daryl@darylowen.com.
What I collect
Information you give me: when you fill out a form, I collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, the business you run, and your message.
Information collected automatically: pages viewed, the options you choose on the site, the page you came from, device and browser type, general location based on IP address, and similar usage data. This is collected through cookies and similar technology, mainly Google Analytics.
How I use it
To reply to you and follow up on what you asked about.
To send you a confirmation email when you submit a form, and, if you joined an early access list, to email you when that product opens. Every marketing email includes a way to stop receiving them.
To understand how the site is used so I can improve it, and to keep it secure and free of spam.
Who helps me run this
I use trusted service providers that process information on my behalf: Vercel hosts the site, Supabase stores form submissions, Resend delivers email, Anthropic powers the type box assistant, and Google Analytics measures site usage. They may only use your information to provide their services to me.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a sale, merger or transfer of the business this site supports.
The type box
If you type a request into the box on the home page, that text is sent to Anthropic, an AI provider, so the site's assistant can point you to the right place. It isn't used to identify you, and it isn't stored with your form submissions. Please don't type sensitive personal information into it.
What I don't do
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and see which parts of the site are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works without them.
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information.
How long I keep it
I keep form submissions for as long as they're useful for the conversation you started, or until you ask me to delete them. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics.
How I protect it
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. The database that holds form submissions can't be read from the public website. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Your rights
You can ask me to tell you what information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email daryl@darylowen.com and I'll respond within 45 days. I may need to confirm your identity first.
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be treated differently for using them. I extend the same rights to everyone.
Children
This site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to other sites and products, such as REALicense, Prepped Exam and Rig. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
